TEAM PLACEMENT
WHAT IS A TEAM PLACEMENT?
A team placement is a training evaluation for 4th–8th grade boys and girls interested in joining a Resilience Select Competitive Team. Players participate in basketball activities designed to help coaches determine the appropriate team placement.
WHEN ARE TEAM PLACEMENTS & DO I NEED TO ATTEND?
Team placements will be held September 23–24 at Youth & Family Link in Longview, WA.
Registration is required to attend a placement.
Returning players who participated on a Resilience Select tournament team within the previous two seasons do not need to attend a placement.
Placement Schedule:
4TH - 5TH
Sep. 23 @ 4:30–5:30 PM &
Sep. 24 @ 5:30–6:30 PM
6TH - 8TH

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT & HOW ARE PLAYERS PLACED?
Players will participate in a structured training evaluation, including:
- Warm-Up
- Skill Work
- Intro Offensive Breakdowns
- Defensive Foundation
Coaches will evaluate each player’s skill set and team fit to determine appropriate placement.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER PLACEMENT?
Results will be emailed following the placement.
Players placed on a Competitive Team will receive an access code by email to complete registration and secure their roster spot.
Payment Deadlines:
Returning Players: September 21
Players attending placement: September 28
Tournament rosters are intentionally limited to 8–10 players. If a roster spot is not available on a team that aligns with a player’s skill set and team fit, families may attend our Skill Development Opportunities.
"STEP FOUR"
FINALIZE REGISTRATION
Families will receive an access code by email if a roster spot is available on a competitive team that aligns with the player’s skill level and team fit. The code will allow families to complete registration. If a team roster is not available, players will be directed to our skill development programs.
